How did you start Streaming?

I was watching friends streaming Diablo ll & III on Twitch (2018/19), looked at the chat and said I know these people from in-game, they love watching the stream. I think I can do that.

At the time of that thought, I was 59! What would I do? I jumped onto YouTube and started to watch videos... I pestered friends in their Discord channels.

It wasn’t easy, all I had was a laptop, keyboard and mouse! So, on the 22nd of September 2019, I went live. What could go wrong?

I was 59, and I had a laptop open, with these in order. Night Bot, SLOBS and Diablo III were sitting on top of each other, and I looked at my chat on my phone.

I guess what I was doing was something my father had taught me “Use yourself as a role model/example to guide others”. So (and it stands to this day) “If I can do it being of senior age then anyone can do it”.

What type of Content do you make?

I like making content based on my life experiences. As the saying goes “I'm old, I know shit, been there done that”. That sort of content is mainly via Streaming and TikTok (yes, TikTok, don’t faint).

YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are a mixture of IRL commonsense values, to playing the Diablo franchise or just having an awesome time with my small but valuable community with my lovely wife Diana.

What made you move to Kick?

I was streaming on Twitch, and I found it VERY hard to go live. Many times I went offline basically straight after going live. It was a CHORE to go live. I was looking over my shoulder to see if I was doing anything wrong. Twitch felt stale to me.

I had been sitting in Trainwrecks stream a lot as his gambling was my rush... I heard Train mention in the end of November about a NEW streaming platform and I also saw Kick mentioned on Twitter. I had to go check it out. I liked what I saw even though it was in its infancy, and I liked the challenge of a new platform where I could be ME. And yes, the 95/5 was very attractive but wasn’t my reason for moving.

What do you like about Kick?

It's totally transparent! Everyone, and I mean everyone, is helpful in one way, shape or form.

I won’t say Kick is like family, Kick is another platform but one that is being built properly for streamers by streamers. I’ve been on Kick since December the 6th 2022 and a day hasn’t gone by that I’ve NOT seen any news, updates, Kick Staff coming into people’s chat and of course, other streamers visiting as I do with a lot of streamers when I can.

What would you recommend to other Kick users?

To be themselves. NEVER try to copy another streamer as every streamer is special in their own way.

Be yourself and most importantly have fun!
