Learn more about itsthatguyweeb live-streaming journey on Kick
Why did you start Streaming?
I originally started streaming when I first came back to gaming after a 5-year hiatus as a way to save my gameplay from my PS4 so that I could watch over them and improve at Warzone. As I was doing this, people started coming through and hanging out, and I realized how much I enjoyed meeting new people and entertaining them. 3 years later, I've rebranded and I'm still going strong!
What made you stream on Kick?
When I first heard about Kick, it was through seeing Jessie on Twitter/X talking about it. At the time, I was no longer on Twitch, but I was still building my stream on YouTube while looking for a more stream-geared platform to call home.
I did some research into Kick and saw they were heavily supported by RegimentGG and Sgt_Jackson12 was a huge proponent of the platform as well, so I signed up and gave it a shot.
The first thing I noticed was how genuinely AMAZING the community is and how welcoming all the other streamers on the platform are. Kick truly feels like a home and the vast majority of its content creators are extremely supportive of each other, and I feel that's something you don't have anywhere else.
What kind of Content do you Create?
I mostly play competitive FPS games, like Warzone and ranked Call of Duty, but I also like to stream a variety of horror and story-driven games here and there to help break the stress and repetitiveness of competitive shooters.
What are your top tips for live streaming?
- It's your brand. Do it how YOU think is best.
- Do not let trolls stop you.
- Do your best to network and make friends.
- Do not focus on numbers.
- Be yourself above all.
- Take a deep breath and just hit Go Live.
Streaming Schedule
I mostly stream late nights due to part-time work and single dad life. For the most part, you can catch me online between 9PM-4AM CST with the occasional day stream when I have a total day off from responsibilities!
